My Mom’s Chicken and Dumplings were the best! I finally found a recipe that taste like her homemade, but takes a lot less time to prepare. Ahh …the magic of the Slow Cooker!! It is a working Mom’s best friend! This is a great busy day meal and always a crowd pleaser at our house.

Is it hard to cook dumplings?

I always thought making them the old fashion way was. My mom always boiled them in a big pot on the stove and made the biscuits for the dumplings by scratch. I have tried but can never get mine as good as hers. My dumplings always come out to heavy and doughy. But this recipe in the slow cooker is so easy! And they taste a lot like made from scratch, and very light and fluffy.
