Do you want a great recipe to use with leftover turkey after Thanksgiving? Yes, you say? Well I have just the recipe …
Make this juicy cranberry & cream cheese turkey sandwich, dripping with cranberry sauce.
Cranberry sauce and cream cheese could possibly, just maybe …change your life, or at least your sandwich eating experience. This is one of the best turkey sandwiches I’ve ever had. I discovered this bit of heaven in a sandwich, at a local restaurant in town, actually called The Local. They call this sandwich “The Jefferson,” I am not sure why, but I call it the best sandwich ever!!
The Local is a great hot spot for lunch and dinner, with live music in the evenings, and a nice outdoor seating area for good weather days. It is a place I enjoy going from time to time, however, their sandwiches are a little pricey, so …
I now make this delicious, tasty sandwich at home, my way. 🙂
Just in case you haven’t thought about leftovers yet … I am taking this recipe along to a great link up party called Fiesta Friday!
It is never to early to be thinking of things to do with your turkey leftovers. Come on over and join the fun 🙂
Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving!
Cranberry & Cream Cheese Turkey Sandwich
By Arl’s World
Ingredients
2 slices firm white bread, I used Italian and toasted it on the grill.
2 to 3 tablespoons cream cheese at room temperature
2 to 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce
A generous amount of thin-sliced turkey, I prefer white meat
6 ounces of brie cheese sliced
Dark, grainy mustard
lettuce
Mayonnaise
Directions
Spread 1 slice of bread with the cream cheese, top with turkey and brie cheese. Spread a generous helping of mustard over the cheese; top with the lettuce.
Spread a thin-film of mayonnaise over the second slice of bread, then spread with the cranberry sauce.
Put the sandwich together. Cut in half or quarters, and enjoy.
Welcome to Fiesta Friday Arl, and thank you for bringing that very tasty sandwich to the Fiesta. I think you’ve given me an idea for leftover turkey, a great assortment of flavors going on, not forgetting the brie, which has to be my favorite cheese. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
