A New Beginning
She stood there taking it all in, this new place. All the people, sounds, smells …. she was hungry, it had been a while since she had eaten. She made her way through the crowd. She would eat, then find a place to stay. A place to call home, away from him. Her thoughts immediately went back to him. How had this happened? No, she needed to focus and move forward. A coffee shop up ahead, a sign on the window that read: Help wanted. Room for Rent. At that moment she knew, she was going to be okay.

Dear Arlene,
Two new beginnings here. 😉 Welcome to Friday Fictioneers. As many of us have found, it’s highly addictive and once you start it’s very hard to stop.

Dear Arlene,
You captured the fears we all have of starting over…and the wonderful newness of it as well.
Welcome to the party, pal. (My traditional greeting to all newcomers to Friday Fictioneers.)
