How to Survive Valentine’s Day – A Single Woman’s Guide

single-2-copy

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and for a single person like me that can mean you are left singing the blues.  You just made it through Christmas and now once again you are left to face another holiday alone, dateless.  Well fear not my single friends, there are ways to survive Valentine’s Day and just maybe enjoy yourself.  Here are my tips for surviving the dreaded holiday of romance aka V-Day.

Treat and pamper yourself.  Just because you don’t have a significant other doesn’t mean you can’t have that beautiful ring you have been eyeing in the window at your local jewelry store.  Go ahead, go shopping!  Buy that pair of shoes you have been wanting, or send yourself some flowers.  Take a spa day; have a manicure, pedicure and maybe even complete with a facial and massage.

Go out with your other single friends.  Take in a movie or have dinner with some of your single girlfriends.  Get some of your friends together and throw a party; you could even make it a tradition every year.

If you have children, well then you already have a Valentine.  Spend the evening making some delicious Valentine cookies complete with icing and sprinkles.  Take them out for ice cream or cheesecake.  You don’t have to be alone just because cupid has yet to shoot you with his little arrow.

Whatever you do on Valentine’s Day, embrace it, have fun!  You can get through it and come out stronger.  Look on the bright side, you don’t have to worry about all the Valentine’s Day Do’s and Don’ts that couples experience.    As for me …I am attending a friend’s birthday party dinner. 🙂 ❤
